Taken from an original photograph here of Speyer in the German Rhineland, one of Germany’s oldest cities I have managed to produce a painted illustration of the pedestrian part of Maximillianstrasse. The tower at the end is one of the city port gates – the Altportel – and a well known landmark.
I have enhanced the coloration of the finished paint to highlight the wonderful tones of the buildings.
