Not been so well over the past month or so and only now back to some sort of activity.
Being in France allows me to pick some wonderful backdrops and subjects for photographs and subsequent painting. This is one such scene – imagine a field of fantastic colored Lavender and this just a small part – painted as an impression and framed in a classical frame.

Not surprising that in this part of France and indeed in almost any part of this country, the Impressionists had such inspiration to paint such wonderful scenes as they did. The amazing light and the way it changes continually with the dappled colors of each region. Such a rural country and if you have the good fortune to visit – you will feel as if you had stepped back in time – away from the modern hustle and frenetic rush of today.
I for one just love it!
