When in Zambia some years ago we have the opportunity to Safari into some of the most remote regions of that Country. With guides and a small light weight boat plus an armed escort (in case of very curious wild animals – a shot over the head usually does the trick) we would venture out to the flooded water lands in search of whatever was there basically. In this particular shot some of our party were in search of the Shoebill – a giant 5 foot high wonderful bird/creature that you would swear should be extinct – but it’s NOT!

Whilst my better half managed to get some distant shots of the elusive Shoebill the really fabulous picture is courtesy of Wiki as it’s the most astonishing bird image I think I’ve ever seen!
