Well today I decided, as I tend to do every so often, to change the “theme of my web site – this time going for a look that is just a bit more elegant and where I can display a neat header of random illustrations, pictures, paintings, sketches and photographs that I’ve managed to produce over the last year. What I hope to do is to upload a different set of images for the random selector to grab, each month – it should give an added interest I hope.
The fractured Artist - an insight.
This image on a good day, where I was able to set up a camera on a tripod and manage this image. One shot had to do as the subject had real problems in staying still and once taken, on to the computer to give perhaps just a glimpse of the world I live in every day.
I don’t normally post photographs which are obvious as such but every so often I delve back into the world of black and white imagery – which whilst devoid of color can still evoke strong emotion for the viewer as well as the subject on viewing. There is a sort of truth a monochrome image seem to pick up that the color image does not – I suppose therefore that there is a fundamental truth in the view that everything is seen perhaps simplistically at any rate as black and white.
Of course life has much more to it than that – there is a vast coloration before us which affects our emotions far more intensely than mono, but still the old black and white has that – something – that stripping away of pretense maybe and very, very revealing too.
This image is no exception.
But back to the new theme – I really quite like it, rather gloomy maybe, so I’ll just have to post some colorful pictures. . . . should brighten up my day.
