A few of my homeland’s streets in Art form – various styles managed at odd times in my travels. This a village in Perthshire done in a sketch followed by almost monochrome style in minimal color washes.
Another image but this time further North, though still in Perthshire in Dunkeld – The Brae or Brae Street in a slightly more painted style with additional color.
Some other sketches, many of which were used as the basis for further painting or illustration pictorials. Taken from an older folder I found recently when clearing out my office/studio. . .
Quite a few of the village series I managed have been used in various local Historical enterprises and incorporated into articles and some books. I was particularly pleased with a series I did on bridges – those that straddled a particular river from it’s source to the sea, which was also interesting to do. I hope to show some of these in a later post maybe.
