Always love traipsing around Prague as there is so much to see and as I’m sure I’ve said before, I love the architecture of the place.
This is another view of Charles Bridge which was finished in the early 15th Century and one of my favorites, though normally I sketch this from the river, this time is from a series I managed from both shores and also on the bridge itself.

Coming away from the bridge and up the hill towards the old town center you quickly reach the Old Town Square and here there is quite a lot of interest for me, from the wonderful Moser Glass shop to the Old Astronomical Clock or the Orli as it’s known and generally everything about the town intrigues me.
(Note – I have also included the original photograph in the gallery slide show at the foot of this post).

Here just part of the Square, purely as it took my fancy – I sketched it in a hurry and the notebook was held at a slant, so everything is leaning – but I rather liked that and just left it as it was and finally washed it with color and so on to get this.

Turning around I then simply recorded the other side – It’s not the same street lamp in the next picture as I had walked back towards the main part of the Square, but they are rather smart affairs and almost worthy of a sketch in their own right.
